Ages 13-17

Come and enjoy our fun-filled week of horse-riding over the farm, through the bush, on the beach, and playing games. Opportunities to make new friends and experience new challenges. 

Accommodation: is at our camp building in separate dormitories for girls and boys. Mattresses are provided – own bedding/sleeping bags will need to be brought to camp.

We enjoy three homemade meals every day, with snacks provided.

Cash Canteen: There is also a small cash canteen available for treats/snacks for you to have out on the rides. – Please note that the canteen balance will need to be paid at the start of camp.

For those hiring horses, we will provide all horse and riding gear. Riding boots or closed-toed shoes are necessary (no gumboots for riding in please). 

You do not have to be an experienced rider to come to horse camp. Tuition will be provided. 

For those wishing to bring own horses, you may – provided that you can be off a lead rein. You must be able to catch, groom, pick out hooves and saddle your own horse. You need to be able to walk, trot, canter in a group of horses and remain in control. You will also navigate through water, mud, and bush up and down hills and be exposed to open spaces. Your horse must be fit enough to handle a week of these conditions. Please contact us via Facebook if you have any questions or concerns.

We are a Christian group every day there will be teaching from the bible where we learn about God and his love for us. 

Camp Costs:

$350 – Hiring Horse

$300 – Bringing own Horse

Note that you will only be confirmed your spot on camp once your deposit is paid, not in the order you book.

The full camp fee is required to secure your spot and is needed at least 7 days prior to camp starting or your booking will be canceled.

Further Camp Info:

• Please arrive between 9am and 10am on the 9th. Please no earlier or later.
• Please note that while some food/allergies can be catered for, due to the nature of camp cooking – some might not be. Please get in touch if this is the case (Facebook is easiest)
• For those bringing horses, you are able to park and leave your float at the Farm. Please be mindful that we do have some animals that love to help themselves to open bags of feed, so make sure everything is stored appropriately.
• Once you arrive, please come inside and talk to the team about where to put your gear & horse (if you are bringing one).
• Seaview Ranch is located on McMillan Road (approximately 5km North of Katikati). Travel down McMillan Road, over the bridge and past the first house on the right.
• Look for the gravel entrance “Seaview Ranch” and drive on up to the camp building (keep going past the barn and sheds), through a pipe gate, and down towards the red building (just look out for all the cars).
• Gear to consider bringing, clothes, togs (we have a great swimming hole!), covered shoes, hat, water bottle, gumboots, toiletries, bedding/sleeping bag, sunscreen, bible (if you have one)
• Please do not bring technology such as cell phones, tablets (iPads etc..) or any device with internet connectivity. Also, please don’t bring electrical appliances (e.g hair straighteners, clippers, hairdryers etc..) as you won’t be able to use them.

Conditions of Camp Booking:

• All riders are requested to wear safety helmets at all times. Helmets are made available. Campers ride at their own risk. Riders will be unable to join in unless helmets are worn.
• Seaview ranch is a no-smoking/vaping environment. No drugs or alcohol will be tolerated and campers will be asked to be picked up by parents.

• Seaview Ranch is a fully functioning farm. Heavy machinery, farm animals, and waterways are present on site. Risks and boundaries will be clearly outlined at the start of camp.

• We will take all care, but no responsibility for any horse/equipment/veterinarian expenses incurred whilst on our property. Please ensure you have the correct gear to look after your own horse (if bringing one) and are appropriately able to do so.

• Seaview Ranch as a private camp, allows personal photography/videography during camp. Any misuse of such media, Seaview Ranch reserves the right to have them removed.
